Brian Storjohann joined Tangram Insurance Services in 2024, bringing a unique blend of operational leadership, risk management expertise, and military experience to the organization. In his role, Brian is responsible for developing and enhancing quality control standards across Tangram’s vendor network of Loss Prevention and Claims Management service providers. He also supports the creation of compliance audits, supplemental applications, and program-specific risk management platforms designed to strengthen operational performance and client outcomes across Tangram’s portfolio.
Brian began his career in the insurance and risk management industries in 2014 following more than a decade of distinguished service in the United States Navy. As a helicopter pilot, instructor pilot, and division officer, he led large teams and coordinated complex, high-stakes operations where risk management, strategic decision-making, and operational execution were critical to mission success. His military background continues to shape his disciplined and solutions-oriented approach to leadership and risk mitigation.
Since transitioning into the insurance industry, Brian has leveraged his operational expertise to help organizations improve safety, compliance, and risk management processes. His ability to combine analytical thinking with practical execution has made him a valuable contributor to Tangram’s ongoing program development initiatives.
Brian graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Weapons & Systems Engineering, where he also competed as a four-year collegiate volleyball player. He later earned a Master of Science degree in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego while serving in the military.
Brian currently resides in San Diego with his wife, two young children, and two rescue dogs. Outside of work, he enjoys playing volleyball and golf, as well as traveling with his family.
